For many years I always had the same nightmare

For many years I always had the same nightmare at night: I’m in my house, where I live, I’m holding the door closed, someone wants to get in and beat me up. I’m standing there and I’m holding the door because the door doesn’t close properly. That came from Cologne, where you could never properly close the door. I’ve been having that dream again and again, ever since I was a child. And then, when I got married, I had a son and he grew up, went to university, became a counsellor and also a hypnotherapist. And I still went on having that dream. And then I told him about the dream. I didn’t know why I was having the dream. And he talks to me, and then we find out it was about Kristalltag [sic, instead of: Kristallnacht].– about what I’d seen on November 10th 1938. And from that time onwards I never had the dream again. But I had to wait for my son to tell me what was going on.
