Put the kettle on

   It’s always the same, whenever anything happens: ‘Put the kettle on!’ Hot water. And it was just the same in the bank once, I had paid in quite a lot of money, I was on my way to Germany, wanted Deutschmarks and so on, and in came two coloured people. I didn’t see them at first. They said, “You know, money where is your money?” They said, “On the floor!” So I said, “I can’t, I have lumbago, whatever it’s called, in my back.” “Get down!” Then he asked, “Have you any money on you?” And I still had money, but I said, “No, it’s all been put in the till over there,” and then he took out weapons, and they gave him the money, the cashiers, the bank employees, all behind their counters and glass wall...and I was the only one on the wrong side. That was quite dramatic. So I ran after them and wanted to see whether they drove off in a car, I wanted to get the number ...
