I worked very hard in preparation for emigration
I’ve got this photo with Klibansky standing here at his window and he sees me coming in, late as usual. He was standing there somewhere in his office, watching me arriving at the very last moment. Yes, and then of course there was the St Apernstraße orthodox synagogue here, and there was a smaller street I went along; I lived in the Moltkestraße, and then I went over the Ring, Ehrenstraße, round the corner a little way into St Apernstraße. Mrs Meidner was always standing in front of the school to bring her son, who was in preschool, a warm scarf or something like that. Yes, St Apernstraße and then along the long corridor.
