A football through Klibansky’s window

We were of course dreadful boys and once we kicked a football through Klibansky’s window. So then we got a detention on Sunday morning, and there was snow and we didn’t want to come in. What was her name? We always called her Auntie Judela, she was a geography teacher and couldn’t keep order in a class, and she said, “Right, it’s time to start now.” And she had a few snowballs thrown at her, and then we had an extra hour of detention, on Sundays. That puts you in the picture. Of course…we were as German as anything, hard to believe. When anyone said anything, you immediately challenged them with, ‘Duel’, didn’t you. One thing I can still do really well and that is when you meet someone, a lady, and you’re young, you do this: click your heels together, make a bow and offer your hand all at the same time! I don’t think people do that any more, do they?
