The baby arrived even before she lay down on the bed

   I was born in Cologne. We have just been reading the letter from my mother. Straight after I was born, she wrote to my uncle in Berlin, her brother. That was a really amusing letter. The midwife wasn’t there and the doctor wasn’t there and the baby arrived even before she lay down on the bed. Yes, that’s where I was born and we always lived on Salierring. It was a beautiful apartment block.
