M A J O R F O L E YNow we got a letter. In Germany we had post on a Sunday. Do you still have post on a Sunday? Sunday morning, that I remember very well. My friend was there and there came this letter: Please send your passports for your visa. Within two months we were in London, told to go back at first, which we didn't do, of course. And we were poor when we got here, we didn't know anything. We were living on charity. That's our story. I was very lucky to come out with my parents and my sister. Most people unfortunately didn't. You see, this friend of mine, his parents didn't come out. His sister also didn't come out, but he came out – he had two sisters, one sister was here. So, I was very, very lucky. |
