This idea of enrolling in a British university saved my life
This obsession of Hitler in particular and the party as a whole, this what they called the Jewish question, I’ve never discovered why they were so obsessed. It has led to what has become known as the Holocaust, to the murder of about six million people including almost the whole of my family.
My father was sent into a separate concentration camp from my mother and my sister. They went into Stutthof near the Lithuanian border. And my father to Buchenwald. When the camp was evacuated, the Russians were coming in from the East and the British and the French from the West, they had to go on foot. If they couldn’t keep marching they got a bullett in the back of the head. So my father I think suffered that fate. He was known to have been a part of the Todesmarsch but he didn’t survive it.
